- Ben went back to work on May 22.
- Simon stopped sleeping 6 - 8 hour stretches that day.
- We've been adjusting well, I think, although I'm super tired.
- I've got the boys on a schedule that allows a nap for me. (most days)
- We've had three different prescriptions for Simon's eye. It's a blocked tear duct that got infected.
- I found a cleaning schedule online. I'm in the midst of tweaking it for our house and lifestyle. Does anyone wash windows weekly? I thought it was more of a monthly chore.
- We got a kitten. She is adjusting well and Gracie has stopped growling, hissing, spitting, and snorting at her.
- Ian picked up Klutz and then fell down our stairs, about 6 steps. He has a long bruise on his cheek but seems fine. Klutz went running and doesn't seem any worse for the wear.
- We went to the opening for the Highland games.
- Ian is really liking soccer and wants to go daily.
It's been a hard month but I've liked it. It was wonderful to have Ben home but I was missing our little routine and doing stuff my way. (what can I say, I'm anal about some things) Having two isn't too bad but I've been thinking about how many that we should have in total. I guess I'm content to leave that up to God. Simon sleeps so much better than Ian did in a lot of ways but with Ian, we fought some battles from day one and with Simon, we gave him a soother. I think, in hindsight, I should have fought those battles with Simon. I've decided that I won't use the soother with any other children that we might have except to try to get them on a schedule.
I'll leave you with a picture of my passive aggressive cat and our new kitten.
