It occurred to me that if I wait until I have the photos organized, I may not post for awhile so eventually, there will be Christmas photos.
Ian loves being chased. He'll laugh and start running when you hold out your hands and say "I'm gonna get you." I think he'd keep it up for hours.
This got me thinking why does he love being chased so much. Is it that he has our full attention in those moments? Is it that he's an active toddler and wants a chance to "nun"? (run for those who don't speak Ian) Is it the competition? Does he just want to be caught and tickled? Maybe all of those and something more.
I wanted to be chased. I didn't want to be the girl asking out a guy who might possibly be interested. I wanted a man who saw me and liked me enough to take that chance. That was something that I asked God for. Ben asked me out, he chased me although I wasn't hard to catch cause I liked him back.
I remember playing Tag as a kid and I really didn't like being It. It was always more fun to run away than to do the chasing. When you were It, you never knew when you'd catch someone.
For now, I love to catch my little boy and lift him up and listen to him laugh.
