This year we spent Christmas day with Ben's family. There are different traditions but I like some of them better than ours.
Christmas Eve we have a toast of Egg Nog in shot glasses. We turned the lights off and just enjoyed the lights on the tree.
On Christmas day, we opened our stockings first.
We then set to work to opening gifts. Ben's family opens one gift at a time so everyone knows what everyone else got. I like this better than my family's open till you're done approach.
Ian was actually into it this year and had fun tearing open gifts.
